Skin regeneration
The skin is the largest organ of the human body and at the same time the first line of defense against external influences. Skin regeneration is a complex process in which the structures and functions of the skin barrier are restored. Speed of skin regeneration
Not all parts of the body regenerate at the same speed. The skin on the face, lips or hands regenerates the fastest – that is, in areas that are well supplied with blood and more often exposed to external stimuli. However, this is where the greatest damage often occurs, so the need for regeneration is greater.
On the contrary, the skin on the lower limbs, especially the calves or feet, has a lower blood supply and therefore a slower regeneration. Similarly, dry areas such as elbows or knees need special care. In older people, the entire regeneration cycle slows down, the skin is thinner and more susceptible to damage.
